Bisa Kdei credits his hit song ‘Mansa’ as the one song that changed perceptions about his career and made him a bonafide star in the eyes of many.
Speaking on Starr Drive with Anita Erskine, the hostess asked him about perceptions that people thought he was a ‘one hit’ wonder following the release of ‘Mansa’.
However, according to Kdei, the doubts surrounded him after his first big hit, ‘Azonto Ghost’, and that it was ‘Mansa’ that actually showed he was more than a one hit wonder.
“It wasn’t even with Mansa’ [that people said I was a one hit wonder] – it was with ‘Azonto Ghost.'” the crooner told Erskine.
“‘Mansa’ was just a miracle. When I brought ‘Azonto ghost’ everybody thought I wasn’t going to be able to bring another song.” he added.
Since the days of ‘Mansa’, the singer has gone from strength to strength, and is now one of artists easily able to drop hit singles.
According to Bisa, that’s all thanks to the status ‘Mansa’ bestowed on him.
