80 Ghanaian citizens have been deported from the North African nation of Libya – where many migrate either to find greener pastures or to use a transit point to Europe.
The deportees arrived at the Kotoko International Airport late Thursday on a flight from Tripoli.
According to Starrfmonline, many of them claimed they have been imprisoned for over 8 months in Libya before their deportation.
The once prosperous nation has been thrown into chaos and military conflict ever since former leader Muhammar Gaddafi was killed.
