After the people of Denkyira-Obuasi brutally murdered the late Major Maxwell Mahama, turns out one of them even had the gall to take his iPhone 7 for himself.
Emmanuel Fordjour is the culprit, and he was arrested after a police tip-off, with the phone found stashed in his room.
Fordjour was arraigned before an Accra District Court Wednesday, where he was remanded in police custody.
Prosecutors sought more time for investigations to continue, as well as for his case to be merged with the 19 other suspects currently being held for the Major’s murder.
Major (then Captain) Maxwell Mahama was killed by residents of Denkyira-Obuasi in May, after he was allegedly mistaken for an armed robber whilst out on a jog.
The case resumes on the 3rd of August.
