The National Democratic Congress commenced a week long remembrance of the death of former President John Atta Mills this week with a wreath laying ceremony at his final resting place.
Atta Mills died on this day in 2012, exactly five years ago, and thus the party is observing a week long event dubbed ‘5 years of ascending into immortality’.
Former President John Dramani Mahama, Atta Mills’ widow Ernestina Naadu, as well as numerous other top NDC bigwigs were at the Asomdwe Park earlier in the day to lay wreaths and remember the former leader.
