John Dumelo is in the cross hairs of former United Kingdom Ambassador to Ghana, Jon Benjamin, following some s*xist comments he passed about women on national television.
Dumelo said on GTV’s ‘What Men Like’ that he prefers dating women who are not so well off because those who are filthy rich usually are disrespectful due to their wealth.
Former UK High Commissioner to Ghana, Jon Benjamin, has completely torn into the actor for those comments of his, labelling them s*xist and asking Dumelo if he’d describe it as disrespect if a rich woman dashed him a V8.
“Whoa, what a sexist comment!” Benjaimin wrote on twitter, accompanied by a headline of Dumelo’s words.
“If they’re richer than you and – purely hypothetically of course – gift you a V8, is that ‘disrespectful’?” he wondered in that sarcastic tone he so often employs.
To the surprise of no one in Ghana, John Dumelo’s arrogant mouth seems to have landed him in hot waters once again due to those disgusting, s*xist comments, about women, purely made to stroke his own ego.
Dumelo thinks men can handle wealth all right but the moment a woman becomes rich, she becomes disrespectful to men (him), purely based on her gender, of course.
That’s the textbook definition of s*xism.
It seems to us that only men with egos so fragile that they need a woman to stroke it for them constantly would believe that by not being able to ‘take care’ of a woman, they cannot earn her respect any other way.
But then, that’s the worldview of the typical Ghanaian male – so who are we kidding – John is right in the median of the population.
His particular case, though, reeks of hypocrisy because as well all know, it’s not like he has ever been accused of dating rich women and milking them off before dumping them.
It looks like back then he did not care so much about their ‘disrespect.’
Whoa, what a sexist comment!
If they're richer than you and – purely hypothetically of course – gift you a V8, is that 'disrespectful'? https://t.co/kdWYwy0vu2
