The NDC has held a Press Conference to call President Nana Addo to order as the Party claims Nana Addo’s elephant size government is “clueless” and has led Ghana into “a lawless State of anarchy and chaos”.
The Press Conference held at the Party’s Headquarters in Accra was to address the NPP’s 6 months of Power.
Kofi Poturphy speaking at the Press Conference said “it is about time President Akufo-Addo stops travelling around frivolously and pin himself down to begin some hard work in an acceptable manner and not in this wishy-washy manner”

He hinted that the President is probably just travelling around because of the of the huge allowance he receives for his travels.
“As regards to the President’s lots of travel, we are demanding a full disclosure of how much money he takes per diem on such travels? Is it $5000 or $4000 a day as it’s being rumoured?” He asked.
Mr Portuphy further seek to know “How much do his many followers and exploits also take? Is it $2000 or $1000 a day? It’s also in the rumour mill”.
The NDC chairman also described the Nana Addo – Bawumia government as a “tea government” always organising banquets and ordering expensive suits and ties from abroad at the expense of the unemployed youth. He said because Nana Addo is always travelling he is even clueless of the happenings in Ghana and couldn’t answer questions when he met the press.
“Most definitely, President Akufo-Addo is turning out to become Kwaku Ananse. I say President Akufo Addo is like Kwaku Ananse because, in Ghanaian folklore, Kwaku Ananse always begins as the most intelligent person but ends up squandering to hide his embarrassment in his web. The embarrassment that is engulfing the Akufo-Addo and Bawumia government is becoming too much”
According to NDC, the Press Conference is a signal that if things get bad they will go on a demonstration.
