Hon Kennedy Agyepong has a clear response to the so-called prophetess who delivered a prophecy that he either joins the clergy or God would strike him dead – ‘I don’t believe in prophecies’.
We reported a few days ago about a prophetess, Rebecca Aboagye, who prophesied that the controversial Assin Central MP has to abandon politics and heed God’s call to become a preacher.
According to Aboagye, failure to heed to the warning could result in death for the MP.
But responding to the ‘prophecy’, Agyepong said most prophets these days are frauds who capitalise on the gullibility of people.
“When you talk about it, they say you are blaspheming but it is the truth. When you see the lifestyle of most men of God, their lifestyles; lavish lifestyles, and you see their followers and how deprived they are…” Agyepong said.
“We are too vulnerable, the indoctrination, a lot of pastors, prophets are capitalising on our ignorance of the Bible to deceive us”. he added.
Agyepong added that personally he does not believe in prophecy, although he believes in one man of God in this country.
“I don’t believe in prophecies but I believe in Rev. Owusu Bempah, for 3 years now and he has surprised me with his predictions”,
