The University of Leicester has presented the Master’s Degree earned by the late Major Maxwell Mahama to his mother following his untimely death.
The late major was pursuing the degree and was near completion when he was lynched by a mob in Denkyira-Obuasi.
Mahama, who was a captain at his death, was posthumously promoted to major by the President, and he has now been presented with the Master’s degree as well.
His mother received the degree on his behalf.
