A former NDC Member of Parliament, Kojo Adu Asare, has nicknamed the Vice President, Dr Mahamudu Bawumia, as Dr ‘Borrowmia.’
The name is in reference to the number of international loan agreements the NPP have signed since coming into office despite condemning the NDC for doing the same.
Adu Asare, who was a former MP for Adenta, made his submission during an appearance on Asempa Fm’s political talk show ‘Ekosii Sen’.
He lambasted the current government for borrowing money from China and other countries and dressing it up as ‘investments’.
He said the biggest irony was that the NPP, lead by Dr ‘Borrowmia’, was now doing the same thing they had criticised the NDC endlessly for.
He characterised calling Bawumia ‘Borrowmia’ a slip of tongue, although it was clear it was intentional and he was only being up for mischief.
What do you think? Are the NPP really going back on their campaign promises to stop the reckless borrowing started by the NDC?
