The President, Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo, has pledged to put his presidency ‘on the line’ in the fight against galamsey.
The President has vowed that he’s committed to solving the menace and is willing to be judged harshly on it should he fail.
A plaque that has been haunting Ghana for decades, the issue of small scale, illegal mining has reared its head significantly during the tenure of this President.
Numerous stories about galamsey are popping up daily, even though there seems to be no progress in that fight.
The President, however, is pledging to solve the issue or lose his presidency.
