John Dumelo says you should believe his moving mouth rather than your own lying eyes that he never, ever, intended to mock the bread seller he saw hawking in traffic.
Appearing on Joy Fm’s Cosmopolitan Mix Tuesday, the actor said mocking an entrepreneur is not something he’ll ever do.
“I wasn’t there to mock anybody. Why would I mock a bread seller?” the actor said to Doreen Andoh.
“Three months ago I was supplying my meat to chop bars in Accra. I was personally and physically handling meat so why would I go and laugh at somebody who’s selling bread on the street? I will never do that,”
The actor’s words belie the fact that mockery is exactly what he did to Godfred Obeng Boateng, the CEO of A1 Bakery in Kumasi. He took a photo of Boateng hawking his bread in traffic and added the following caption.
“Just saw a Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology (KNUST) grad hawking in traffic…What went wrong?”
