Self proclaimed Gh ‘queen of comedy’, Afia Schwarzenegger, has torn completely into Asamoah Gyan for his decision to take a penalty during Ghana’s recent friendly game against the United States of America.
Gyan took, and missed the penalty as Ghana lost 2-1 to the USA in a friendly game last week.
This was despite a pledge to Ghanaians never to take a penalty in the Black Stars, claiming it was advice his mum gave him before she died.

Afia, taking to social media, tried to decipher why Gyan disrespected that advice to take a penalty again.
She wrote:
“i tot you said your mum asked you to stay away from penalties so what happened??? Were u disrespecting your mother’s ghost or you lied to Ghanaians…but you koraaa why? Stay away from our Penalties…Akua Donkor can do better..”
Gyan has been at the centre of some huge penalty misses which has really cost Ghanaians – including missing the crucial last minute penalty against Uruguay in 2010 which would have made Ghana the first African nation to reach a World Cup semi finals, as well as another miss in an Afcon 2012 semi finals against Zambia.
Maybe he should just stay away from our penalties indeed.
