2 Dead, 42 Students Injured As Excursion Bus Falls Into Lake Bosomtwe Valey

Holiday turned bloody for Nursing Students of Afia Kobi Nursing Training school as a bus carrying them plunged into a valley near Lake Bosomtwe yesterday.
The accident happened in the evening around 5 pm and it is believed that the driver of the bus lost control of the steering wheel, leaving the bus to head into the 150m depth valley whilst it somersaulted.

GhOne Tv news report confirmed that one of the students was found this morning dead at the accident scene and another died in the hospital whilst receiving treatment.

The students and some tutors from the Nursing Training School at Tafo Nhyiaeso in Kumasi were said to be on their way to a Resort at Abono near Lake Bosomtwe.
Some of the injured were admitted to the Kuntanase Government Hospital, St Michael Hospital in Pramso and others at the Accident and Emergency Centre at the Komfo Anokye Teaching Hospital (KATH) all in Kumasi the Ashanti Region.
