Comedian/Musician Kwame Asare Obeng, known professionally as A Plus, has announced his intentions to run for office in the New Patriotic Party.
A Plus is gearing up to contest for constituency chairman of the party in Gomoa Central.
At a meeting held with constituency executives Sunday, A Plus revealed to them his intention to run for the position during the next party elections.
He also revealed to the executives his ‘other future ambitions’, as he put it in a post on Facebook.
He wrote:
Yesterday I met with some of the hardworking Gomoa Central NPP Executives. At the meeting I informed them about my plan to contest for the constituency chairmanship position in the up coming election and other future ambitions……? Thanks to all those who made it to the meeting. I’m looking forward to meeting with those of you who could not make it very soon.
#Onestepatatime….. Gomoa Central ?????????
A Plus was strongly behind Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo during the 2016 elections, although he has criticised and continues to criticise both political parties. However, it looks like he’s now officially hitching his wagon to the NPP, for better or for worse.
