The NSMQ mistress, Dr Elsie Effah Kaufmann, is pleading for the return of her stolen handbag on ‘humanitarian grounds’.
Dr Kauffman’s black handbag was stolen in the commotion following the announcement of the winner of the 2017 National Science and Maths Quiz.
The bag, which contained her phone, id’s, some cash and other valuables, has since not been found, even though a video appears to show the moment it was stolen.
In a Facebook post, Belinda Yaa Dankwaa Effah, who’s appears to be the quiz mistress’ sister, reveals Dr Effah’s message to the thief.
“On humanitarian grounds, please bring back my bag”.
The ‘humanitarian grounds’ refers to when Dr Effah offers schools who go completely off course answering the ‘problem of the day’ portion of the quiz one point, citing ‘humanitarian grounds’ as her reason.
In a follow up comment, Belinda Effah adds – “She (Dr Effah) also says she’s very happy most people are thinking science now and asking her to solve many questions. She says the stolen bag now has become a problem of 2 days!”
