Ghana’s one and only ‘rap sofo’ might soon become a literal pastor, as he’s expressed a willingness to preach the gospel one day after he’s hung up his microphone.
Obrafour, speaking on Adom Fm’s ‘Kasahari Level’, said that he awaits the call of God for him to become a preacher and when it comes, he would embrace that life gladly.
“I am not in the music industry as a money-making tool but as manifestation of the talent of God for me and when I’m done, the Creator will give me a call for his preaching work which I am willing to concede to.” Obrafour said.
The legendary rapper recently released a gospel track titled ‘Aseda’.

Obrafour also talked about the Musician’s Union of Ghana (MUSIGA), which he said needed an entire reconstruction since its current format is failing.
“…We are all aware and it remains the truth, what people have been pompous of as a music industry here in Ghana is deceitful, there is nothing like Ghana music industry we should rather discover measures of having one.”
“There is also no system to make rules and regulation to govern the music body hence my condemnation,”
Obrafour further added that he would be willing to be part of any reform to MUSIGA, but he has no plans to contest its presidency.
“I can be a member or head the reorganization team of the union but would not contest for the supremacy that’s the presidency,” he asserted.
