Kwesi Pratt Jnr., the managing editor of the Insight newspaper, has called on government to send the Gitmo 2 back to the United States immediately.

Speaking on Kokrokoo on Friday, Pratt said per the Supreme Court decision, the stay of the duo in the country is unconstitutional and should be remedied immediately.

“[The] Supreme Court decision does not make their stay lawful and constitutional. So, their stay in Ghana today is still unconstitutional. We should sack them to allay all fears”. Pratt said on the show.

The Supreme Court did indeed rule this week that the stay of Mahmud Umar Muhammad Bin Atef and Khalid Muhammad Salih Al-Dhuby was unconstitutional, as the agreement was not ratified through Parliament first.

However, government was given a grace period of three months to have the agreement ratified, or the three has to go. But Pratt wants them thrown out immediately.
