‘I Can’t Agree’ – Hannah Tetteh Responds To Alban Bagbin’s Call That All Politicans Are Corrupt

In a rare moment of honesty (for a politician), MP for Nadowli-Kaleo, hon Alban Bagbin, admitted that the Ghanaian political system is corrupt and everyone within it is corrupt.

His logic was simple, politicians take money from businessmen to run their expensive campaigns and the businessmen get policies they want in return.

It’s a simple principle that’s as true here as it is in the US or anywhere private individuals are allowed to buy democracies.

However, former Foreign Affairs Minister Hannah Tetteh is eager to assert her innocence.

Taking to twitter after Bagbin’s comments, she said she refuses to believe every politician is corrupt.

“Alban! I didn’t listen to the show and don’t know the context in which he said this but I can’t agree. Good governance can’t be just a mantra,” she wrote.
