Former Ghana international Nii Odartey Lamptey says he has no ill will towards his ex-wife, Gloria Appiah, and instead has forgiven her all her sins.
Appiah stayed with Lamptey for decades, fathering three children out of wedlock which he thought were his until he later discovered the truth.
The pair have since been embroiled in a bitter divorce settlement as the ex-wife sues for a portion of Lamptey’s assets. She was staying in his East Legon house throughout the trial.
The case was recently settled and the judge ruled she should move out and said she was not entitled to his properties/riches due to her conduct during the marriage.
Asked about whether he feels animosity towards his ex, Lamptey said he didn’t.
“It was very tough and devastating. I have been living in a rented apartment for the past four years and I’m grateful to God that I will now have properties and other businesses that I lost back. I don’t feel shy talking about it because it has taught me a great lesson and it’s also part of life” he said.
“I feel no regret or bitterness, I rather feel blessed. I have forgiven my ex-wife and moved on. I have now settled down with my new wife and two kids” he added.
