The President, Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo, swore into office Ghana’s new Chief Justice, Sophia Akuffo, on Monday.
The ceremony came off at the State House after Parliament finally gave their seal of approval to the President’s nomination.
Akuffo, a long serving Supreme Court Justice, took the oath of office and secrecy as administered by the President.
Akuffo takes over from Georgina Theodora Wood, who retired earlier this year after serving ten years as CJ.
