Manchester United manager Jose Mourinho has joined the ‘exclusive’ boys club of elite football personalities accused of committing tax fraud in Spain.
Prosecutors in the Iberian nation claim Mourinho defrauded Spain of taxes to the tune of €3.3m back in 2011-2012 – when he was manager of Real Madrid.
Mourinho reportedly failed to report income gained from image rights, which enabled him to dodge paying taxes on it.
The case has been presented to a local court and could move forward soon.
Mourinho joins Lionel Messi, Cristiano Ronaldo and Neymar, just to name a few – who have been accused of tax fraud in Spain.
