Ghanaian-British filmaker Amma Asante has been awarded with an MBE for her contributions to film making in the Kingdom and across the globe.
Asante was named a Member of the Most Excellent Order of the British Empire (MBE) at the ceremony held last week.
Others who got awarded included Ed Sheeran, Sade and many others.
Actress Olivia de Havilland, who starred in Gone With The Wind, became the oldest recipient of a damehood as she was knighted at the age of 100.
JK Rowling, Sir Paul McCartney and Delia Smith were all elevated to the prestigious Order of Companions of Honour.
