Apparently, the gods of Denkyire-Obuasi are super upset over the killing of Captain Maxwell Mahama–the same gods who watched and did nothing, when he was being killed.

Because the gods are angry, the chiefs of the area on Monday performed a sacrifice to pacify the gods for the spiritual havoc the killing of Maxwell Mahama on their land has brought.

Perhaps, when we stop worrying about the gods and educate the people on the consequence of mob justice, we will achieve some result as these gods are not the ones being killed and do not seem to care.

A human being is killed and all we seem to care about is to pour libation or perform some sacrificial rituals to pacify offended gods.

The sacrifice by the traditional council of Denkyire was confirmed on Peace Fm as having taken place this morning and being necessary.
