A Kumasi based radio presenter, Nana Frimpong Ziega, says Eno’s Ghana Meets Naija performance, which started with her appearance in a coffin, was a spiritual affair fuelled by black magic.
Speaking on Kessben Fm, Ziega said Eno, realising her career was dead, used the performance as an opportunity to resurrect it using ‘juju’.
Ziega said that was evident when her backup dancers were shouting ‘arise, arise, arise’ during her performance.
“After watching the play back of last saturday’s Ghana Meets Naija Concert, I could say there is more to Eno’s stagecraft than meets the eye.” he said.
“My understanding of her casket display is, the young girl feels her career is buried and needs to be “resurrected.
“Eno was in existence before Khaki, MzVee and some of her age group songstresses but she still can’t count up to three hits. I can confidently say she laid in the casket and the arise! arise!! arise!!! being chanted by her dancers was a ritual performance”. he added.
