Late Captain Maxwell Mahama by his gruesome murder whilst away from home on official duty following Government’s pursuit to combat illegal mining has become a Galamsey Martyr and a beacon against mob justice/injustice of any kind.
In this regard, the family of Late Capt. Mahama appealing to the State called on Parliament to erect a Monument in any part of the country in memory of their beloved son, brother and a father that will remind the Public of his death.
The family made the plea today (Friday, June 2) when the when the house’s hierarchy visited the relatives of the fallen soldier to commiserate with them, 3newsgh.com reported.

Speaker of Parliament, Professor Mike Aaron Oquaye who led his entourage on the visit welcomed the kind appeal of the family and assured them that Parliament of Ghana will support the erection of the cenotaph in honour of the late Army Captain.
Late Captain Mahama’s untimely death has sent the entire nation into mourning and calls for justice for his death. So far, two more suspects have been arrested in addition the 14 suspects in custody in connection with the heinous act.
