The assemblyman who allegedly masterminded the lynching of Capt Mahama in Denkyira-Obuasi is on the run, contrary to social media reports that he had been captured.
Identified as William Baah, authorities say he and two women who were also kingpins in the killing of the soldier are on the run.
They have therefore been declared wanted, as police search for them.
A meeting of the Upper Denkyira West District Security Council made the decision to declare them wanted Wednesday morning.
“The assemblyman and two other women who [are] believed to have involved; deeply involved in the lynching so we are also sending message around that those know their whereabouts should let us have them arrested so that we can continue our investigation,” Regional Police Commander, DCOP Ampah Benin, told 3news.
Acccording to police, Baah and the two women have not been seen in the township since Monday’s incident.
