Reunited singing duo Wuta have advocated for music as a subject to be reintroduced into the curriculum in schools to help breed better musicians.
According to Afriyie Wutah, having music taught in schools would breed better musicians who can survive in life even if they have only an instrument as their only possession.
Wutah, who only recently reunited, were on Accra Fm Saturday when Afriyie passed the comments.
He revealed that during their time apart, they were able to survive because they are both good musicians who can play the guitar, and he believes introducing music would help many others be able to discover the same abilities.

“I’ve been advocating something on my Facebook page and it’s on the Wutah page as well that we should reintroduce music into our curriculum in the various schools.” he said.
“Because when you do that the outcome is you breed better musicians who play at least an instrument, and you can never take a musician who plays at least an instrument for granted,” he told DJ Premier.
He added: “If today Charterhouse, which organises a lot of shows, says [it] will not invite me to any of their shows, we can still hold our guitars, sit at Kaneshie, and play and not go hungry. So, that’s the beauty of it. So when we broke up, that was what helped us. We both play the guitar so we don’t need shows to survive. I can put together my own show and at the end I will go home and be OK and I think that is what kept us going until now.”
