Black Stars manager Kwesi Appiah has named his first full squad since returning for his second stint in the job and he’s made a statement by dropping several big name stars.
Christian Atsu, Mubarak Wakaso, Razak Brimah and Emmanuel Agyemang Badu are four crucial members of Avram Grant’s Black Stars who failed to make the cut for Kwesi Appiah’s team.
Appiah has also made a statement by calling as many as seven local based players into the squad, fulfilling a pledge to involve more players based in Ghana than his predecessor did.
Ghana plays Ethiopia on June 11 in a 2019 Afcon qualifier, followed by friendly games against the USA and Mexico.
