Young skillful lads of the Ghana under 17 National team won the love of many with their goal-scoring spree at the ongoing African Championship in Gabon but that shine nearly eluded the youngsters when they played 90 minutes goalless against Niger in the semi-finals.
Paa Kwesi Fabian’s side demonstrated prowess to win the game within the ninety minutes but Nigerien goalkeeper Gabriel Leveh made heroic saves for his side as the two teams also hit each other’s goal posts.

After missing all the glaring chances, the match run into a nerve cracking penalty shoot-out which saw the Starlets win 6-5, though the team’s lead scorer Eric Ayiah missed his kick.
Ghana will play the finals on Sunday against the winner of the Mali-Guinea game.
