Menaye Donkor has labelled a pretty explosive allegation against Sulley Muntari’s team, Pescara.

Taking to social media, Menaye accused the club of benching Muntari on purpose ever since the racism row involving him and some fans.

The incident occurred a few weeks during Pescara’s game against Cagliari, with some home fans racially abusing Muntari.

The former Ghana international angrily walked off the pitch during the incident, which led to him being sent off and banned for one game. His team announced they were not appealing the ban in the aftermath of the incident.

Muntari’s walk-off and subsequent shameful treatment made the issue a global one, forcing the Italian Fa to rescind his band and his club to look bad for not appealing it.

According to Menaye, since then Muntari has been purposefully benched despite being eligible to play.
