Shatta Wale’s recent monster hit truck, ‘Taking Over’ ft the Empire Militants, was notable for many things but one particular lyric which resonated concerned a certain ‘Sergeant Lee’.
Many assume Sergeant Lee, who apparently was drinking tea and in a comfortable lead – to be a dig from Shatta Wale at Stonebwoy.
However, on a recent appearance on the Cosmopolitan Mix with Doreen Andoh, Stonebwoy said he does not see the lyric as a dig at him at all.
When Doreen asked him about it, he said this was the third time he was hearing about it being a diss.
“Sincerely speaking, I chanced up on the Sergeant Lee thing twice. This is the third time I’m hearing it at a very reputable place and I think I have to start wanting to find out its meaning and what its driving at.” he said.
“Listening to the song, sincerely, I do not hear any shots thrown at me or anybody.” he continued.

Stonebwoy however, indicated that if any Shatta songs cross the line into personal insults, he would be ready to respond in kind.
“Some of the other songs might have thrown shots but that’s even allowed once it doesn’t go beyond certain limits. When it gets personal I will go personal too,” he added.
During this same interview, Stonebwoy had revealed that he does not really need any congratulations from Shatta Wale for his BET award nomination.
