Lydia Forson has been named ‘superwoman of the year’ by Jandel Event Planners and Florists, replacing Oheneyere Awo Dansoa (Gifty Anti), who won last year’s award.
Forson was honoured at the awards ceremony held Sunday at the Trade Fair Centre in La, Accra.
Other prominent female leaders honoured include Madam Fatima Adamu (Entrepreneur/ Executive Director Royal Bank), Madam Felicity Acquah (Consultant / Former MD EximGuaranty Bank), and Madam Florence Laast (Founder of St. Martin De Porres School).
Forson received a plaque, and took to social media to express gratitude for being recognised for her works.
The actress is a fierce advocate for women’s rights issues and rarely hesitates to make her opinion known on issues affecting the fairer s*x.
