Angry Education Minister Summons Principal To Explain Why Govt Provided School Bus Was Being Used To Carry Firewood

The Principal of the E.P College of Education (AMECO), at Amedzofe in the Volta Region, has some explaining to do after the school’s new school bus was captured being used to cart firewood.

The bus, one of a fleet of buses given out to educational institutions by the Mahama administration last year, was captured in photos posted online being used to carry out a function far removed from what it was purchased for.

That seems to have angered Education Minister Matthew Opoku Prempeh, who has reportedly summoned the principal of the school, Rev. Sylvanus K. Tettey, to come and explain the incident.

According to myjoyonline, officials at the Ministry up to the Minister are concerned about the incident, and the principal faces charges unless he comes up with a convincing explanation.
