The question of who would lead the NDC in 2020 continues to be one of the most interesting political sub plots these days, with a new name seemingly joining the fray every day.
One solid name in the fray is Ekow Spio Garbrah, the veteran politician who once contested John Evans Atta Mills for the post of NDC flagbearer.
Garbrah is one of the few well established brands in the NDC and many expect him to be a frontrunner for 2020. But according to the man himself, he would run but only on one condition.

That’s Mahama has the right to run, and that if he does not, before he (Spio) would enter the fray.
According to Spio Garbrah: “all of us appointed by Mahama have great respect for him. We all believe we have to grant him that opportunity (to run)”
“He [Mahama] has the first right of refusal.” he added.
Mahama has not yet made clear whether he would run or not in 2020.
