Ghana’s self proclaimed ‘king of comedy’, Derrick Kobina Bonney, who performs under the name DKB, has revealed how he broke down in tears following the condemnation of his comedy act by former first lady Nana Konadu Agyemang Rawlings.
The former first lady was reported to have described the ‘king of comedy’ as ‘unfunny’ and ‘boring’ during an Easter Saturday show at the Accra International Conference Centre, walking out when he took to the stage.
She later clarified that she simply did not like the vulgarity in his language, but the criticism got to DKB all the same.
