The irony is so rich we can’t believe Obinim didn’t die from hypocrisy immediately on reading this piece.
One of the staunches representatives of the ‘exploiting people’s fear and gullibility to make money brigade’, Bishop Daniel Obinim, is warning people against fraudsters using his name on social media to defraud them of their money.
Why send your money to fraudsters when you can bring it to the church for miracles?
A statement from Obinim’s organisation is warning followers of the church against these fraudsters on social media.
The statement makes clear that Bishop Daniel Obinim has only one Facebook page and any other created under his name is a fraud.
Whilst warning against the bad fraud, the statement continues to explain the process to send your money to the church for ‘consultation’.

“There have been reports of people who have created Facebook accounts with the name of Bishop Obinim and requesting for money from people. Bishop Obinim has only one Facebook page known us BISHOP OBINIM MINISTRIES…” the statement reads, in part.
“The facebook page is not for collection of money but to give information about church activities, guidelines for emergency counseling and direction to the church premises.”
It continues: “It has has also come to the attention of the office of Bishop Obinim that some men of God are going around telling people to worship with them because Bishop Obinim has given them permission to operate under his church. Please all these claims are false.”
“Please report any person using the name of Bishop Obinim as a bate (sic) to get congregation. Such people are fraudsters and may end up defrauding you.” the statement adds.
We at GC would like to know the difference between the person who claims their dad died in Sierra Leone and left them a fortune and the one who claims they can turn onto a lion so come to them for protection, or that they can help a person vanish from Saudi Arabia to Ghana.
We’ll be waiting for that explanation.
