Millionaire turned comic politician in the sight of some Ghanaians, Hassan Ayariga who got disqualified by Charlotte Osei from contesting the 2016 general elections as a Presidential Candidate for the All People Congress (APC) has revealed that though he endorsed NDC’s John Mahama after his fall out, he was then very much aware that Mahama will lose the elections.
According to Hassan Ayariga it was so visible that the NDC Party has a disconnection with its grassroots during the campaign era. The Businessman backed his claim with the evidence that 90% of the 200 people who registered to join his then newly formed APC Party were all defectors from the NDC. He further stated that the NPP maintained its connection with its members who voted for the Party just as they did in the 2012 elections.
Speaking on Joy FM’s Super Morning Show Friday, he explained that one factor that led him to endorse John Mahama was because the then NDC candidate called to sympathize with him during the hard time when he was infamously disqualified by the Electoral Commission. He added that the CPP Presidential candidate Ivor Greenstreet and Jacob Osei Yeboah who was an independent candidate all called to console him but the NPP never did.

However, Mr. Ayariga reiterated that the APC regional executives also voted to endorse Mahama at a meeting, meaning, the APC endorsing Mahama was not solely his influence.
HUNDRED DAYS OF NPP’s ADMINISTRATION
According to MyJoyOnline, Mr. Ayariga marked his first disappointment in the Nana Addo led Government when head porters aka “Kayayei” paraded at Independence Day Celebrations showcasing such a menial job to the world. “It is not unlawful but it is shameful” he noted.
Hassan Ayariga also stated that 90% of “Kayayei” are from Dr. Bawumia’s hometown in Walewale in the Northern Region. He then asked Kojo Yankson “Will you put your child there to go and parade with a head pan?”.
