Kwaw ‘Abodam’ Kese at the just ended VGMAs displayed all his awards in a wheelbarrow for sale and the gesture was taken as one of his mere craziness but actually, the “Let Me Do My Thing” rapper was communicating artistically.
Kwaw Kese who recently called a famous blogger “Stupid” for alleging he’s been living in friend’s house all these while has told Amanda Jissih that VGMAs has lost its respect it had. He explained that the schemes now awards people who protest against the scheme.
He cited Shatta Wale and Joe Mettle as examples. According to Kwaw, Shatta Wale only won Artiste of the year in 2014 when he harshly attacked Charter House the previous year after losing out Reggae Dancehall Song Of The Year to Kaakie. Arguably, that incidence revived Shatta Wale’s lost fame.

The Man Insane continued that the recent hullabaloo of Gospel Musicians in the VGMAs has caused enough protest for the Gospel acts which resulted in Joe Mettle winning Artiste of the year.
“When you protest against Charter House, it means the following year they will consider you and give you an awards. That’s what it seems like because it has happened not once” he said.
When asked if that’s why he has started protesting against Charter House to win an award next year, he said no but he has started putting in enough work which should pave way for that. Kwaw Kese has started a reality show that unfolds the true life of the man behind the Abodam man.
Kwaw Kese was speaking on GhOne’s Etalk.
