Former Black Stars captain Stephen Appiah has debunked rumours he’s set to be the new team manager of the Black Stars when Kwesi Appiah takes charge of the team.
According to the ‘tornado’, he has not been approached by the GFA about taking on the job, but he’s ready to serve if and when called upon.
Former Stars manager Kwesi Appiah was recently reappointed to the job by the FA, with local reports claiming former stars like Ibrahim Tanko, Richard Kingson and Tornado are all set for roles under Appiah. But the first captain to lead Ghana to a world cup has rubbished those rumours.
“I haven’t received any letter. I am a business man, I have players I am managing, I have players that I am training and I have other things that I’m planning to come out with.” Appiah said.

Continuing, he said whilst he has not been contacted, he’s ready to work anytime for the Black Stars.
“I am around so if it comes to working with the Black Stars, I am ready to serve. I haven’t received any letter so I don’t know but if I receive a letter I will let you know,” he added.
