‘Mama Boss Papa’ hitmaker, comic actor Kojo Nkansah, known professionally as Lil Win, has hinted that he would sue the Vodafone Ghana Music Awards sometime soon.
Lil Win, speaking on Live Fm Tuesday, said he doesn’t understand why his songs are never nominated for the awards scheme, yet they were played at the venue during the awards on Saturday.
Lil Win complained about his songs receiving no nominations, hinting that perhaps they don’t see him as a musician which is why they don’t nominate him even though he submits the songs.
“Maybe they think am an actor so I don’t fit in the music circle for my songs to be nominated.” he speculated, before explaining why that line of reasoning is absurd.
“50cent is a rapper and also an actor so why didn’t they nominate any of my songs, not even ‘I don’t think far’, which became the nation’s anthem and I even did 4 collaborations with different artistes on them”.

According to him, the worst insult was that after not nominating his uber popular song, they had the guts to play it during the event.
“I have talked to my lawyer and we are filing a legal suit against them, if my song [is] not qualified why you should have to play it there?”. he wondered.
