Kumasi Asante Kotoko has parted ways with head coach Zdravko Logarusic after 11 games of the season.
The club made the decision Sunday night after the team drew goalless against Ebusua Dwarfs at the Baba Yara sports stadium.
“The contract of Coach Zdravko Logarusic has been terminated after an emergency Management meeting on Sunday at the club secretariat in Kumasi. The meeting, which was held just after Kotoko’s barren game with Ebusua Dwarfs on match day 11 of the 2016/17 Premier League, was primarily to discuss the coach’s future.” a statement on the club’s official site read.

“Zdravko’s contract has been terminated. He has accepted the official notification given to him. Assistant coach, Godwin Ablordey will train with the team until further notice” Head of Communications, Obed Acheampong told Asantekotokosc.com in a brief interview on Sunday night.
Fans of the team have increasingly become disillusioned with the coach as the season progressed, with things coming to a head last week when some fans blocked the coach from training the team. Lugarusic was employed in January, and leaves despite Kotoko being in 2nd place on the league table with 19 points.
