The public task force in charge of retrieving state vehicles in the possession of former government officials and private citizens recently confiscated a Toyota V-8 vehicle from actor John Dumelo, and it seems that’s not the end of his troubles.
According to Kwame Baffoe, Supervisor of the Task Force, government are not just taking the vehicles from Dumelo but intend to prosecute him, since what he did is a case of theft.
“The Criminal Investigations Department (CID) [and] the Bureau of National Investigations (BNI)…are building a docket on that and at the appropriate time, he will be arraigned before court. He should be charged for theft because this is a criminal offence.” Baffoe told Joy Fm’s Newsnight program Thursday.
Mr Baffoe added that they are still searching for the second vehicle allegedly in Dumelo’s possession.
