A free for all verbal and near physical altercation broke out on the floor of Parliament Thursday following the controversial Mahama Ayariga ‘apology’.
The report into the alleged case of bribery brought by the Bawku Central MP was debated on the floor of the house Thursday and it devolved into farce.
The committee recommended that due to there being no evidence of Ayariga’s claims, the esteemed MP should apologise to other members of the house for his injurious comments.
That led to Ayariga uttering the now infamous phrase – “If you say I should apologise, I apologise.”
The house devolved into chaos after, with tempers rising, fingers waving and people shouting over each other.
