WWE Wrestler To Run For Mayor In US State Of Tennessee

Glenn ‘Kane’ Jacobs

World Wrestling Entertainment (WWE) wrestler Glenn Jacobs, more commonly known as Kane, is set to run for mayor of the town he resides in the US state of Tennessee.

Also known as ‘the big red machine’ and the ‘brother’ of fellow superstar The Undertaker, Jacobs has been making moves in recent times which indicate his plan to run for office.

Knox County, Tennessee is where he lives alongside his wife and where he would run for mayor.

Fox Sports, citing WYCB, reports he has filed paperwork with the Knox County Election Committee appointing a political treasurer. He told the publication the appointment is yet another step towards running.

Jacobs would run as a Republican.

“Knox County is a great place and we’re so happy and feel so blessed to live here,” Jacobs said of he and his wife Crystal. “I want to do my part going forward.”

The towering superstar has been with WWE for the past two decades. Mostly performing under the moniker of Kane, he is the onscreen brother of Mark Callaway, the superstar known as ‘The Undertaker’ – and the pair form the fearsome tag team ‘The Brothers of Destruction’.

Knox County votes for its new mayor next year.
