The President, Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo, has condemned the London terrorist attacks which occurred Wednesday at Westminister Palace, the seat of the British Parliament.
In a social media post, the President strongly condemned the attacks and commiserated with the families of those who tragically lost their lives.
“I join the rest of the world in condemning the London terror attack, and sympathize with the families of the dead and wounded. This attack is a stark reminder of the threat terrorism poses to the world and the duty it imposes on us all to help combat this scourge.” the President’s official Facebook account sent out early Thursday.
The attacks on Westminister, in which seven arrests have been made so far, involved a lone attacker who drove his car along a pavement on Westminister and mowed down civilians.
He then drew a knife and stabbed a policeman, before being shot to death.
The dead officer have been identified as PC Keith Palmer, with three others, including the attacker, confirmed dead plus dozens injured.
