Ghana’s one and only ‘rap sofor’, Obrafour is set to literally live up to his name soon when he drops a new Gospel song!

The rapper, a legendary voice who defined an entire genre, has revealed that he plans to venture into gospel quite soon and he would drop his first work later this month.

“I will be premiering a #GOSPEL song on March 31. #Anticipate ????” he posted on social media.

Obrafour, born Michael Kwabena Okyere Darko, recently survived a scary illness, which might be behind his decision to go gospel.

Secular stars turning to evangelism is nothing new in Ghana, with Lord Kenya the most prominent example. Others, like Ofori Amponsah (Pastor Alewa), switch between being born again and backsliding.
