As we reported Monday, the ‘rap dacta’, Okyeame Kwame, has been honoured with a Presidential Volunteering Service award in the United States for his outstanding humanitarian work.
Former US President Barack Obama marked the Ghanaian rapper for the award for his outstanding work on raising awareness on Hepatitis B in Ghana.
At a ceremony held in Ohio on Sunday, March 19, Dr Pauline Key, the representative for the President’s Volunteering Service Awards presented him with a medal to to that effect.
She described OK as an outstanding humanitarian.

Okyeame Kwame spoke a few words after receiving the award, promoting Africa to the attendees and calling on them to pay us a visit at least once in their lifetimes.
OK assured them that the images of a broken continent they usually see on tv is simply not true.
