Suddenly Famous Prophet Who ‘Prophesied’ Kintampo Waterfalls Disaster Warns Of More Deaths Unless…

Ghana is a really, really, funny country. Studying the case of this supposed prophet would tell you a lot about why we believe in so much bullsh*t in this country.

There is a reason grown up players and administrators of Hearts and Kotoko believe some ‘juju’ can determine the outcome of a football game, because everyone in the country has this mindset of believing in the ‘supernatural’, whether it makes any sense or not.

If anyone had taken the time to listen to Prophet Reynolds Oduro Gyebi, who allegedly prophesied the Kintampo disaster – he claimed people would die if they used the Kintampo road – and even said they better change that route or the accident would occur!

Yet everyone has accepted that he prophesied the tragedy, and he’s now being invited to speak on radio like some expert?

Reynolds was interviewed on Asempa Fm Monday after his new found fame, and he told the station there’s more tragedy to come unless we organise a national day of prayer.

“What happened in Kintampo is something small, something big is about to happen in Ghana if we fail to pray…it is true that many horrible things would happen this year and I prophesied this on 24th October, 2016…,” he said.

“Peace council must organise a national day of prayer involving Muslims and Christians to prevent all these…they should declare a day of mourning and day of prayer, or Ghana would continue writing tributes…,” he said.

I guess we’ll now be seeing him all across the media landscape, enjoying his newfound celebrity status. Ghanaians truly would believe anything!
