Madagascar’s FA President Ahmad has dethroned the Confederation of African Football (CAF) President Issa Hayatou.
Ahmad won the CAF elections held Thursday to be named the new President of the football governing body on the continent.
Hayatou, who has ruled the body for 29 years, was widely expected to win another term – but Ahmad polled 34 votes amongst the delegates to Hayatou’s 20.
