The debate going online right now surrounds the final list of deputy ministerial nominees released by the President which brings the total number of his appointed ministers to 110.
The debate is largely around the massive size of the government and whether the President really has a plan he’s implementing or is simply sharing job for the boys.
GhanaCelebrities.Com editor Chris-Vincent Agyapong Febiri has added his voice to the conversation and he draws a really simple analogy to illustrate how absurd our government’s size is.

“The UK has a population of about 65 million and the Kingdom is effectively being ran by about 105 ministers including cabinet members even in its “chaotic” post Brexit state. Ghana has a population of just about 27 million; yet we need 110 ministers to run it.” he wrote on Facebook.
“Perhaps, our problems are “plenty” so we need more hands. We all know the score!” he continued.
“While a huge number of the UK ministers ride trains and public transport to work, our own will be riding in total luxury.
“And the irony is, we will go and beg this same UK for aid and grant so our plenty high maintenance ministers will continue to enjoy their lavish lives, funded by the state.
“We are truly Africans: we deserve whatever has and will come our way! You can find a justification for anything you want but a valid argument must have a sound premise out of which a stable conclusion is drawn. An absurd justification, is no justification at all.
